STEP FOUR – Work a deal with your creditor that you can afford. Then get it in writing.

In a catch right? They want you to pay more than you have the money to do it. You are afraid to talk to them. Don’t be. Think about this… almost all of this country is suffering and lenders are much more civil and understanding. They are willing to work deals right now and one of the best deals you can work is having them removing their negative record on your file if you pay off the debt. They agree? They will. The catch is get it in writing. They are very hesitant to do this but you must insist.

STEP FIVE – Don’t do business with people who put you in bad positions in the future.
