One great performance from the game against Memphis was Nick Young who amassed 16 points in his best game with the Clippers since being traded just a couple weeks ago from the Washington Wizards. Coach Vinny Del Negro through Young into the thick of it very quickly, he was playing even before the ink dried on his contract, but he’s grown to be a tremendous asset to the team. From the rest of the team, there were also impressive performances from Blake Griffin (who looked like he was having tons of fun beating up on the Grizzlies), Chris Paul, Caron Butler and Randy Foye.

The Clippers are down Mo Williams—he’s recovering from a sprained toe injury—but the Hornets will be down at least three players, including forward Jason Smith. The Clippers most recent game against the New Orleans Hornets was a tough loss. The loss Thursday night leaves the Clippers with a record overall of 26 and 21. In the first three quarters the Clippers led the Hornets but couldn’t maintain a lead in the final quarter. At the half the Clippers were up 58 points to 54 but the final score of the game was 97 to 90 with the Hornets on top.

The Clippers top players Blake Griffin and Chris Paul managed to score a fair amount of points in Thursday night’s game. Griffin shot 21 points with 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals while Paul scored 16 points with 9 assists and 2 steals. The Clippers bench players didn’t shoot so well, they only made 23 points but the Hornets bench didn’t fare much better scoring only 26 points overall.

1-800LoanMart is pumped for tonight’s Clippers game against the New Orleans Hornets. The Hornets have been struggling this entire season and they won’t know what hit them when the official partners of 1-800LoanMart come through town. This game will conclude the Clippers mini road trip and they will be back in Los Angeles this Saturday with a game against Memphis, which will start another home game stretch lasting through till the end of March.

The Clippers will be playing their third game in three days tonight, which started with a battle against the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday. Each team had very similar stats going into the match, but it was the Pacers who came out on top 89-102. The Pacers reserves were killing Lob City by shooting at 60% while most of the Clippers couldn’t properly connect their shots. All-Star Blake Griffin started very impressively with 14 first quarter points, but couldn’t make his free throws and ended the game with 23 points. Chris Paul was doing fine, but whenever he passed off the ball, the Clippers couldn’t find the basket.

Wednesday saw the Clippers in the same situation against the Oklahoma City Thunder who were also shooting well while the Clippers were not. The best thing to come out of that game was Randy Foye who had the team high with 23 points including five 3-pointers and 14 in the first quarter! Griffin was off his game, as were the rest of the Clippers, and only made seven points during 32 minutes out on the court. Thunder won this time around 91-114.

Tonight the Clippers are facing Chris Paul’s former team, the New Orleans Hornets. During his six season stint, Paul helped the Hornets to the playoffs three times. The Hornets have been doing bad ever since and Chris Paul will be trying to prove tonight that he made the right choice. The Los Angeles Clippers are vastly growing in popularity, just like 1-800LoanMart, and this weekend was proof of why all the attention is entirely deserved. After being bombarded by back-to-backs left and right, the Clippers managed to pull out two wins this weekend. Honestly, it feels like that ‘70s movie Rollerball where the odds keep getting stacked higher and higher because the Clippers will be playing a triple back-to-back this week out on the road. How brutal is that?

With Chauncey Billups cheering on the Clippers from the sidelines, the Clippers recovered from Thursday’s loss with a fairly easy win against the Houston Rockets. Lob Angeles played it coy the first two quarters, but managed to prevent the Rockets from taking off in the last two quarters. Blake Griffin put up 18 points before fouling out, which helped the Clippers to stay close to the Rockets as they chipped away at them defensively. Chris Paul closed the game out with 12 points in the last quarter.
